The KM4Dev Core Group is made up of a subset of volunteers from the KM4Dev community. The Core Group supports the community in a number of ways; the core group provides ideas and suggestions to hosts of KM4Dev f2f events, addresses situations that arise on the mailing list, discusses technical issues related to the website and strategizes on future funding modalities.

The KM4Dev Core Group is an active group withing the KM4Dev community that de facto manages or at least steers the community. The Core Group supports the community in a number of ways: it provides ideas and suggestions to hosts of KM4Dev f2f events; organizes management of the community's various platforms and channels; addresses technical issues and promotes technology stewardship and; strategizes and secures funding modalities.

The Core Group meets at least 2-3 times a year, virtually, and piggybacks f2f events when possible. The Core Group is also organizing the rotating facilitation of the community, see the Doodle we use for planning.

Since 2011 the Core Group can also appeal to a supporting voluntary group of other KM4Dev members listed here [[1]]
