About T.J James

T.J James is an Anthropologist by training, Chevening scholar, and a well known expert in innovation management and has contributed in developing scalable diffusion and participatory technology development models, which were recognized at national and international level.

He was the winner of prestigious Chevening Rolls Royce Scholarship programme on Science, Innovation and policy from Said Business School, University of Oxford in 2011. He was conferred National Award from National Innovation Foundation india in augmenting grassroots innovation in 2001. He was the former National Coordinator of National Innovation Foundation and associated with UNDP, ITPGRFA FAO, NIF, leading innovation consulting companies and non profit organizations in Innovation management. He started his career in the leading NGO in South India, Peermade Development Society, as Anthropologist and helped the organization to become pioneer in participatory technology development and grassroots innovations. He has published several articles in journals of international repute and presented in high level committee and several international forums organized by IFAD, ITPGRFA etc. He was awarded several research grants from national and international organizations for promoting grassroots innovation.
