Question(s): How can we foster environments that support deep personal and collaborative teaching, learning and warning? How do we encourage reflection on the meaning and implications of mistakes and lessons learned and (how do we) ensure this new understanding informs future policy and practice? How do we trust intuition / judgement? What are the barriers to speaking out / fostering reflection / airing misyakes? This is the "nub" of mearning!!

Keywords: adoption, lessons learned -> adaptation, review, judgement, confidence, good enough. Divergence <KM wisdom> Convergenece of "ideas"

KS Approaches: Narrative-based peer assists and AARs, cooperative inquiry, effective listening by leaders, learning from evaluations, open space workshops, Most Significant Change

Additional notes from this discussion:

  • What we already know, but don't: know we know, trust that we know, know until it's too late.
  • Deep knowledge. Knowledge adventure!!
  • Finding the few "truths" (but not one truth) in a mess of information -> convergence versus danger of best practice.
  • Smarter. Less is more.
  • How can we support the reflective practice?
  • Fear
  • Exploration: Questions.
  • NB: The most informed decision is still 90% cut.
  • Harness experience + relection to judgement _> make your intuition trustworthy
  • Tools / processes to support wise decision-making / judgmement: put yourself out of the work context, listen to wise people, describing or showing wise decision-making / thinking, recognize / accpet what you don't know, reflect back on who you listened to, what you learned, , listen to what is and is not said, sit with others to co-produce thoughts (situate yourself).
