PROMOTION AND MARKETING OF KM4Dj ISSUES Work on promotion plan for any issue published - possible steps:

  • The obvious (what should happen): Share the entire issue and/or individual articles...
  • The desirable
    • Share via Twitter (personal networks from editors + selected interested people), Google+, LinkedIn, Facebook profile as you see fit
    • Share the overview of the issue and/or specific individual articles on relevant LinkedIn groups (e.g. Professional Facilitors' Network for the 'facilitation for development' issue)
    • Post on Yammer networks of main organisations (via Trojan agents ;) e.g. UN, CGIAR etc.
    • Promote on Knowledge Brokers' Forum and Pelican mailing list as and when - and perhaps Yammer social learning network?
  • The ideal (but it takes time)
    • (especially if print issue available) Possibly organise face-to-face launch event to discuss contents of the journal / organise mini-seminar
    • Organise mini online seminar (e.g. on Google Hangouts) to discuss contents and key questions arising?
    • Blog about the issue and share it on the above-mentioned channels?
    • Relay this via local KM4Dev groups
  • Approach potential publishers (Palgrave, Blackwell etc.) to find out more about their options to adopt the KM4Dev journal among their publications (Sarah)
