Knowledge for Development: Global Partnership Conference 2017

Introduction

The Knowledge for Development: Global Partnership Conference 2017 is scheduled to be held in Geneva (CH) from 3-4 April at the Palais des Nations, Conference Room XXIV. On social media it will be refered to with #K4D2017Geneva. KM4Dev'rs and others interested should be aware that our community will use the opportunity to organize a KM4Dev get together KM4Dev2017Geneva on the Sunday 2 April before. On social media referred to with #KM4Dev2017Geneva.

A main website is being created for the event. A link will be provided here as soon as available. Interested people, whether or not registered as members of the KM4Dev global community of practice, may register on a dedicated dGroup discussion list [1].

Conference registration

Participants must fill in the registration form which is available Media:Registration_Form.docx here It should then be to the following addresses: jiu.knowledgemanagement@unog.ch or jiu.kmteam@gmail.com.

The registration forms should be sent as early as possible, and not later than Wednesday 29 March 2017

Note you will need to register separately for the KM4Dev2017Geneva event on Sunday April 2nd.

At the venue

On the day of the meeting, participants should go to the accreditation and security check area of the Pregny Gate entrance which faces the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) headquarters on the Route de Prégny. The office is open from 08:00-17:00hrs. Buses Z, V, F, 28 and 8 will take you to the gate (bus stop: Appia).

Participants will present the original printed and signed copy of the registration form and a valid photo ID (Passport or National ID). As the waiting lines at the security check-points tend to be very long, in particular on Mondays, participants are kindly invited to come preferably one hour in advance of the start time. Participants are already preregistered in the security preregistration website just mention the name of the meeting and the badges will be provided.

The access badges should be worn visibly during the entire time of the presence in the Palais des Nations. UN badge holders can enter the premises with their badges, however, they are kindly invited to register or just confirm their participation (name, organization/ Mission) to the same e-mail addresses.
