Bamboo shoot Curry

  • Potato - 4
  • Tomato - 4
  • Bamboo shoot - 1 table spoon
  • Coriander Powder - 1/4 of small spoon
  • Chilly Powder - as per taste
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Garlic Powder -1/4 of small spoon
  • Turmeric Powder -1/4 of small spoon
  • Oil - 4 tablespoon
  • Water - 4 mugs
  • Coriander fresh leaves - 2 bunch

Cooking steps

  • Boil your potato in the microwave
  • Peel off the potato and cut into pieces (one potato can be cut into 8 pieces)
  • Warm the oil in a pan and fry bamboo shoot till brown
  • Add potato cut into small pieces in the frying pan
  • Add all the spices
  • Add salt and chilly, if you do not want hot food then avoid chilly
  • Add tomato cut into small pieces
  • After all the ingredients look slightly brown then pour water
  • Keep aside for boiling in the medium stove for at least 30 minutes , here we generally use pressure cookers
  • If the potato becomes softer and there is a thick gravy then the dish is ready
  • Add cut fresh coriander leaves
  • Thing to remember is that we need to constantly stir the vegetable so that it does not get burnt
